Reggie Bush's journey to heisman was nothing short of special. It was filled with remarkable plays. Bush's remarkable season included 1,740 rushing yards, 16 rushing touchdowns, and an additional 478 receiving yards with two touchdown receptions. However, in the years that followed, the NCAA investigation brought forth allegations of improper benefits received by Bush and his family during his college career, leading to a controversial decision. In 2010, amidst the controversy, the Heisman Trust made the unprecedented decision to vacate Bush's Heisman Trophy.
The Statue Battle: USC and UCLA
The tradition of vandalizing statues on each others campuses between UCLA and USC had be a unique and also painful process for the two rival universities. This tradition is not malice and anger between the two but more importantly competitive spirit. In has been tradition for years now that the week of the game both universities find a proud statue of theirs being drenched the colors of the rival school. Above the Bruin Bear covered in the Trojan red and yellow. Also pictured above is USC's attempt to end the tradition and preserve the conditions of the statue. They have resorted to covering the Trojan statue in duck tape to help preserve the statue from being ruined by paint of the UCLA Bruins.
