The Notre Dame Fighting Irish Leprechaun mascot engaged in push-ups during the 1989 Fiesta Bowl against the West Virginia Mountaineers. The Irish would go to end up winning the bowl 34-21. This has been a tradition for decades for the Irish after scores to do push ups while being held up by other fans in the air.
