In the legendary rivalry of the Iron Bowl against Alabama and Auburn Van Tiffin became a legend in the eyes of the Crimson Tide. In the 1985 Iron Bowl the Crimson Tide were trailing by two points enter the last few seconds of the game. That had to turn to their kicker, Van Tiffin. The snap was clean on the 52 yard attempt and Tiffin with his power kicked the ball and aimed it in the middle of the two uprights. Winning the rivalry game once more for the Alabama Crimson Tide.


Rocky Block: Terrence Cody's Twin Field Goal Denials Against Tennessee in 2009

In the clash between Alabam and Tennessee in 2009, Terrence Cody gave us what we know today as the "Rocky Block". With the game on the line Tennessee lined up for not one, but two potentially game-winning field goal attempts. The first field goal attempt sailed toward the uprights, Cody moved himself to the front of the Alabama defensive front. With perfect timing he leaped and blocked the kick. Tennessee lined up for another field goal attempt in the game's final moments. Cody once again soared to the top of the line and blocked the Tennessee kick ending the game and securing the win.

In the high stakes moments of the 2018 College Football Playoff National Championship, a play occured that would forever be remembered by the Crimson Tide. Tua Tagovailoa's game-winning touchdown pass to DeVonta Smith on 2nd and 26. In the stages of overtime against the Georgia Bulldogs. Quaterback Tua Togovailoa took the field with star wide receiver Devonta Smith. As the play unfolded, Tagovailoa dropped back, surveyed the field, and unleashed a perfect strike to DeVonta Smith streaking towards the end zone.
