Oct 14: Dr. Wang participated in an ISSA expert panel about chemical risk in the healthcare environment in Munich, Germany.
Jun 16: Dr. Wang gave workshops about emerging air pollutants and AI during AIRMON 2025 in Loen, Norway.
May 20: Dr. Wang organized and presented a series of Particle exposure assessment knowledge (PEAK) sessions, as well as co-hosted a 3-D printing session with Dr. Morrow during AIHA Connect in Kansas City, MO.
Mar 24: Dr. Wang presented on leveraging machine learning and generative AI in occupational hygiene during the OHAO Spring Symposium.
Jan 15: Dr. Wang is appointed as Co-Editor for the Occupational Health Section in Current Environmental Health Reports.
2024
Dec 13: Congratulations to Dr. Xinyi Niu for receiving her PhD degree and becoming a Kettering Fellow!
Nov 3: Dr. Wang gave three talks at the 13th Asian Aerosol Conference in Kuching, Malaysia.
Sep 10: Dr. Wang presented how AI can enhance exposure assessment at the UC Berkeley COEH webinar series.
Aug 25: Dr. Wang delivered one talk and two posters on respiratory protection and 3-D printing during the European Aerosol Conference in Tampere, Finland.
July 1: Dr. Morrow is awarded two pilot projects to study direct-on-filter (DoF) analysis of airborne plastics and use 3-D printed manikin for respirator research.
May 9: Congratulations to Xinyi for receiving the Central Ohio Local Section Scholarship and Nick D. Yin Scholarship from AIHA.
May 2: Congratulations to Dr. Morrow on his new research grant funded by the Ohio BWC to study respirable crystalline silica with Raman spectroscopy.
Apr 26: Cutting tanned leather with laser could lead to potential exposure to hexavalent chromium and other aerosols.
Apr 5: Dr. Wang presented AI applications in industrial hygiene at the Midwest Regional ERC Symposium 2024 in Chicago, IL.
Mar 27: Dr. Wang presented the design and development of EPIC at the Ohio Safety Congress & Expo 2024 in Columbus, OH.
Mar 14: Dr. Wang co-hosted the first AEROSOL DAY, a symposium that brought researchers from UC and NIOSH to share findings and engage in discussions about aerosol research.

Nov 14: Dr. Wang discussed with WKEF's Lydia Brice about potential pollutants emission and release into the environment from lithium-ion battery burns.
Oct 30: Dr. Wang received a second round of funding from the Ohio Beaure of Workers' Compensation (BWC). News release from UC and BWC.
Jul 30: We are recruiting groundskeepers and lawnmowers to participate in a NIOSH-funded study to examine potential CO and noise emissions from using gas-powered equipment. See flyer here.
