This knitted gnome was based on the dwarf design of Jean Greenhowe in Knitted Toys. I knitted this gnome to represent the Norse Deity, Odin. Odin sacrificed one of his eyes for a drink from the well of Wisdom and Knowledge. He is described as having a floppy brimmed hat that hung over his missing eye.
