Awesome Colorado
Colorado, also known as the Centennial State, is a great place to be, whether you are just visiting on vacation or have the privilege to live there. There are so many fun things to do and so much jaw-dropping scenery to take in. Although winters can bring the occasional snowstorm, the weather is actually great as well. The sun shines, on average, over 300 days out of the 365 day year in most of Colorado. Summertime here brings warm, humidity-free days and cool evenings perfect for a round of golf or hiking or biking a new trail. Then in the fall, if you visit Colorado, you can see the aspen tree leaves turn bright gold throughout the Rocky Mountains, creating a truly remarkable sight. The winter in Colorado brings cold weather some days, but much of the time, it is fairly warm and sunny. If you feel like venturing into the mountains, you could end up at one of the many world class ski resorts throughout the state, or perhaps go on a snowshoe hike in the snow. Or if you decide to come in the springtime, you could go white water rafting or kayaking on one of the many mountain streams, with many options of varying difficulty for all skill levels. Whenever you decide to come to Colorado, chances are you will have a great time.
Hiking
While visiting Colorado, one of the best ways to see the beauty that is offered first hand is to take a hike on one of the many hiking trails that exist.
Do keep in mind that you will want to start out on fairly easy trails on your first few days if you are visiting from out of town, as you will most likely not be adjusted to the higher altitude breathing and strenuous uphill hiking in the mountains. You will run out of breath much quicker, become exhausted faster, and in rare, but possible, situations, you could even end up with a potentially serious medical condition known as altitude sickness. However, there are many trails which you can hike on casually and enjoy the that Colorado has to offer. Once you have adjusted to the higher altitude, there are many trails, or maybe even whole mountains, to conquer that will have you gasping at the sheer grandeur of the Rocky Mountains in Colorado. All while exploring new areas with waterfalls, mountain streams, wildlife, and so much more.

Scenic Driving
Another great way to explore the vast terrain in Colorado is to go for a scenic drive or take a tour. There are many scenic drives you can take while you travel around the state, such as driving on Trail Ridge Road in the Rocky Mountain National Park, where you will climb up to and witness the continental divide. On one side of this natural divide, water travels to the Pacific Ocean to the west, and on the other side to the Gulf of Mexico to the east. This is just one of the neat things you will experience while driving on this road, which reaches over 12,000 feet above sea level. And this is only one of many amazing drives you can experience while visiting Colorado.
If you don't feel like driving yourself, or have limited time and would like a guided your, there are options in an many popular mountain towns, such as Estes Park, which is located at the entrance of the Rocky Mountain National Park, west of the city of Longmont. One popular sight-seeing tour travels in open air jeeps, giving you a very up close feeling with anything you may come across during your tour.

Other Fun Activities
Hiking and taking scenic drives are a great way to explore the state of Colorado, but there really is so much to do. Skiing, white water rafting, fishing, golfing, biking, mountain climbing, and shopping are just some of the other activities you can enjoy while you are visiting.
