Blue Ball Kami

This knitted critter was made as a comfort to Ghaster One-Eye one of our house ghosts. Unlike, his sister, Ghostie who like me has a healthy interest in slasher and horror films, Ghaster is a bit of a wimp and trembles in fear as Ghostie and I enjoy. So, Blue Ball is a Kami (Japanese: nature spirit) that he can clutch for comfort.

Blue ball was knit from Lion Brand fun fur yarn and is basically a sphere that narrows to a point like a teardrop. I added a chain-stitch loop so Ghaster could hold on to him.

He is loosely based on the Japanese Kami spirits found in the Miasaki films "Turturo" and "Spirited Away".
