Nutrition
- General Information
- If you have ever heard the quote, "Abs are made in the kitchen", there is a logical reason for it. Its true! If you are not eating properly it does not matter how much you go to the gym, you will be forever chasing that dream physique. The concept is simple, you need to figure out how many calories you need to eat a day to either gain or lose weight. There are plenty of websites online that will do all the work for figuring it out for you. Luckily I linked one on the page below under, "Calorie Calculator" ;)
- Weight Gain
- In order to gain weight (some lifters will call this bulk/bulking), you must eat in a calorie surplus. This means you need to eat more calories than you are burning. Using a calorie calculator will make this easy to figure out.
- Weight Loss
- In order to lose weight (some lifters will call this cut/cutting), you must eat in a calorie deficit. This means you need to eat less calories than you are burning. Using a calorie calculator will make this easy to figure out.

Miscellaneous nutrition guidance
- Eat about 1 gram of protein per 1 pound of body weight.
- Invest in a rice cooker. Most diets will consist of rice and a rice cooker makes cooking large amounts of rice very easy. Additionally, rice cookers allow you to steam your vegtables.
- Chocolate rice cakes and dum dums lollipops will satisfy your sweet tooth while also only costing minimal calories.
- If you are struggling to meet your protein goals, get a protein supplement such as protein powder.
