Service to Professional Associations

For most of my career I have been very active in providing service for the professional associations of which I am a member. Currently, I serve as:

• Past President, Association for Assessment in Counseling (AAC)
• Co-Chair, Bylaws Committee, Association for Specialists in Group Work (ASGW)

My service activities have been focused on three professional organizations:

• Association for Assessment in Counseling (President, Treasurer, and member of the governing board)
• Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs (Vice-Chair, member of the governing board).
• Association for Specialists in Group Work (Fellow, co-chair of the Education and Training Committee Cluster, chair of Research Committee, chair of the ACA World Conference Program Selection Committee)

Editorial Board Memberships

Another service I have provided to my professional associations is as a member of the editorial board for their journals.  Currently, I am an editorial board member for:

• Measurement and Evaluation in Counseling and Development
• Computers in Human Behavior
• Educational and Psychological Measurement

In past years I have also served on the editorial boards for:

• Mental Health Counselors Journal
• Journal for Specialists in Group Work

Community Organizations

I value the opportunities I have had to provide service in the communities in which I live and work.  Currently, I serve as:

• Trustee and Financial Officer, Mental Health Services East, Hamilton Co., OH.
• Consultant, FreeStore/FoodBank, Cincinnati, OH
• Consultant, Health Resources Center, Cincinnati, OH

Over the years I have also provided service for:

• Family Service of Butler County (President, Vice-President, and member of the governing board),
• Shriners Burns Institute (program development and evaluation consultant)
• ACT Case Management (staff training)
• Queen City Case Management (staff training)
