About TC on Travel Information & Traffic Management
The TC on “Travel Information and Traffic Management” is affiliated with the IEEE ITS Society (ITSS) as a young TC member in the ITSS family. The TC has been motivated in align with the need of addressing the challenges in revolutionizing the way the traveling public travel from place to place and improving travel time reliability by providing the timely reliable traffic and traveler information. We will be keenly interested in exploring the synthesis and applications of the existing and new information and communication technologies in a cost-effective way into traffic management to offer significant potentials for reducing highway congestion and optimize available capacity throughout the transportation network without the need for building additional lanes or infrastructure.
