About Me
Hello! My name is Anna Francesca Parungao Suba, but most people just call me Francesca. I am 19 years old. I was born in the Philippines, and I moved to Cincinnati when I was 5 years old. I am a lover of travelling, concerts, and food. My family and friends are my biggest support system, and I want to see the world with them! Knowing I have big dreams, I work extremely hard in school and work so I can achieve everything I want to. I know I have a lot of potential to be successful in everything I do!
I am a strong activist for LGBTQ+ and BI-POC rights. I am president of UC’s Pinoy American Student Organization, and the media chair of UC’s Vietnamese Student Association. Both organizations are heavily involved in being allies towards the #BlackLivesMatter movement and raising awareness of xenophobia. I dream of a day when minorities can live in a system that treats them equally. As an Information Technology major, I look forward to creating software and websites that amplify voices like mine. Empathy, culture, and open-mindedness are held close to my heart, and I carry them everywhere I go.
Career Goals
Though I am interested in all aspects of information technology, my enthusiasm mainly stems from software development. When I first sought a different major, I wanted a creative outlet. With this concentration, I get to be the innovative problem-solver I have always wanted to be. I am thankful that I challenged myself and switched to information technology. Ideally, I would work for a company that upheld all of my values and encouraged my freedom and creativity. I want to specialize in web and software development, as well as work in database management and system administration.
