Latha Subramanian, Sarah's Colleague, former IT Manager Fifth Third Processing Solution.

I managed Sarah at Fifth Third Processing Solutions and we worked together for close to a year.

Sarah is one of the sharpest people I have ever met. She was pleasant, intelligent and very hardworking. Every experience with Sarah was very professional and she always put her best foot forward.

Sarah's demise is a great loss to the IT industry. She was a leader in the Information Technology and most importantly in the data movement/data transformation domain. Her peers and others in the industry respected her highly for this reason. She was very conscientious and always ensured that her customers got the highest quality software product and regularly pushed for high standards.

Sarah was also a lot of joy to be around and an absolute pleasure to be with. I will always remember her as the person who brought a lot of laughter and joy to the people whose lives she touched. May god be with her always in heaven! Latha Subramanian

Sarah was an ideal student. She was intelligent, hardworking, responsible, and fun to be around.

She was the President of Women in Information Technology Student group. Under her leadership WIT undertook many initiatives; girls in science workshop, speaker event for WIT members, and conference attendance with fellow WIT members.

She was a leader in the college level also. She was a student ambassador and college tribunal member to name a few. She was the recipient of “IT Student of the Year” and “graduate of the Year” awards. She was a finalist for the University level C-Ring award also.

Even after graduation she gave back to the University. She was one of the “recent graduate” panel member of Women in Technology conference.

I was heartbroken and shocked to hear about Sarah's death. With the help and encouragement from Sarah’s friend Renee Merz, CECH Associate Dean Dr. Regina Sapona, then IT department head Dr. Pat Kumpf and the efficient CECH development coordinator Cathy Wash, I was able to set up this scholarship fund. Please help us raise enough funds to endow this scholarship, so we can keep her memory alive.

Sincerely,
Annu Prabhakar
