Prospective Graduate Students
As part of the Department of Biological Sciences’ faculty cluster in Sensory Biology, Behavior, and Evolution, the Morehouse Lab is embedded within a highly interactive community of researchers. Doctoral students in our graduate program are admitted with a guarantee of financial support for 5 years. This enables our graduate students to focus intensively on their education, research and career development. In addition, Cincinnati is a culturally and economically vibrant city with a low cost of living, offering an unbeatable quality of life for our graduate students.
We are always looking for exceptional students to join our research team and profit from our outstanding graduate program. If you are interested in joining the Morehouse Lab, feel free to email Dr. Morehouse at colorevolution_at_uc.edu. Please include a brief statement of your research interests, how they connect with our current research, and your CV and academic transcript.
Prospective Undergraduate Researchers
Undergraduates play an important role in our research efforts, from helping up to raise our research animals to becoming more directly involved in specific projects. Undergraduates that work in the lab for a year or more are often involved to the point of authorship on scientific publications. However, we receive many requests to join the lab, sometimes as many as 3-4 per week. To make it easier for us to understand whether you might be a good fit for the team, please email Dr. Morehouse at colorevolution_at_uc.edu with the following: a statement of your research interests, a resume or CV, and your weekly availability.
