About Me

"I have no special talent. I am only passionately curious".

~Albert Einstein

I started out my career studying computer programming. I was fortunate to study with two very passionate women who ran the department (that was unheard of in those days). One of those women was my advisor. She preached at me that I would never be happy behind a desk. She wanted me to continue my education so I could teach.

Those women were such inspirations to me that I did just that. I worked several information technology jobs as I continued on in school. I finished my undergraduate degree and began as an adjunct instructor at that same community college where I started my education. From there, I finished my Masters degree and was hired full-time. First as an instructor, then promoted to Assistant Professor, and finally Associate Professor.

Throughout my career in higher education I have been a teacher, an instructional designer and an instructional technologist. I am passionate about education, information technology, and teaching. I am now an Assistant Professor at the University of Cincinnati, Clermont College. I have been here since 2019. It is exciting, challenging, and I love my students a lot.

I am also a huge sci-fi nerd. So, if you need to know about The Force, The One Ring, Infinity Stones, Star Fleet, or how to conjure a Patronus...I'm your girl.
