Seeking new PhD students:
The following strengths are preferred:  good writing and presentation skills; solid foundation of traffic engineering, highway engineering and/or transportation planning; use of emerging computing and sensing data for modeling realistic problems; correct understanding and application of AI and data mining as well as math modeling techniques into intelligent and cooperative transportation infrastructure and control systems with transportation automation.
