So when I went ocean fishing for the first time it was a wild experience. We got on what was essentially a glorified bass boat in a dock outside of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Doing this, it went fine as we had to catch minnows for bait before we went out to actually fish, which was quite a failure. The captain had actually had frozen bait from the day before. We then went out to the bay to fish, and the only thing that we caught was a big nurse shark. It didn't work out that well as I found out that I would get seasick very easily and did get very seasick very quickly.
I got so bad the captain had to park next to a sandbar so I could step off and get my footing. We called it after that. We couldn't keep the shark as it was angry and too big, but overall, it was a very good experience.
