PRAYER TIMES

Prayer titme, knows as "Salah" in Arabic, is a fundamental practice in islam. it involves a series of prescibed ritualistic acts performed at specific times throughout the day. These times are determined by the position of the sun and its movement across the sky.

How it Works

The calculation of prayer times is based on the position of the sun in relation to specific points in the sky. There are five key prayers in Islam: Fajr(pre-daw), Dhuhr(noon), Asr(afternoon),Maghrib(sunset), and Isha(night). Each prayer has its designated time frame, and they vary sightly based on geographical location and time of year.

  1. Fajr (pre-daw): This prayer is performed before sunrise, at a time when the first light of day begins to break.
  2. Dhuhr(noon): This prayer takes place around midday, shortly after the sun reaches its highest point in the sky.
  3. Asr(afternoon): Asr prayer occurs in the afternoon, typically between midday and sunset.
  4. Maghrib(sunset): This prayer is performed just after the sun sets below the horizon.
  5. Isha(night): Isha prayer is observed a night, usually after the sky is completely dark.

To determine these times accuratelly, Islamic scholars and organizations use mathematical algorithms and astronomical data to calculate the prayer times for various locations around the world. Additionally, specialized apps and websites provide real-time prayer time notifications, insuring that Muslims can observe their religious duties promptly and accurately.
