The purpose of this website is to raise awareness for the issues currently facing the Ohio River. The Ohio River is one of the most influential rivers in American history due to the impact that this river had as a trade route connecting much of the midwest to the east coast. Today the river is faced with pollution, habitat destruction, and a variety of other manmade issues. It is important to protect the Ohio River, and there are many ways that anyone can get involved with this issue.
