Photo 106.  Long-Tailed Skipper on Bidens leucantha in Everglades during December of 1969.  The preceding was my original belief.  On November 23, 2004, Donald Stillwaugh, as an environmental specialist at the Brooker Creek Preserve, Tarpon Springs, FL,  kindly observed that it is more likely the Dorantes skipper (Urbanus dorantes) rather than its close relative the long-tailed skipper (Urbanus proteus).
