Suriati Paiman from ANU visits for four weeks bringing a series of InP samples with her which were grown at high V/III ratio. Among these samples was the famous WR22-50 sample which exhibited strong WZ/ZB mixing.

November 2009

Jordan Kang visits from ANU for four weeks bringing a series of GaAs/AlGaAs and GaAs/GaP samples with him which were grown on Silicon substrates. After four weeks Jordan went to the MRS Meeting in Boston.

2008

December 4-5, 2008

Former group member Dr. Thang Ba Hoang and his adviser Prof. Helge Weman visited from Norwegian University of Science and Technology in Trondheim, Norway. A Condensed Matter Seminar was given by Thang Ba Hoang on his recent work on GaAsSb/GaAs axial heterostructures. Short presentations were also given by group members Mohammmad Montazeri, Amir Maharjan, Saranga Perera, Melodie Fickenscher and Parveen Kumar.

August 21-22, 2008

Prof. Chennupati Jagadish from Australian National University visits the University of Cincinnati for two days. He attends a group meeting where the USA graduate students give short 10 minute presentations on their PhD research and progress that has been made. Profs.
