I made this hat a while ago on a day I was sick from school and did not have much to do. I was fortunate enough to be able to bring it on a trip with me to Denmark which is pictured in the image to the left.

I decided to switch out the regular yarn for some fluffy yarn I found at the store and had my very first experience trying to work with yarn of that texture. I discovered the difficulty in seeing my stitches and initially made the mistake of using a hook too small for what I needed. My only option up out of the hooks I had at the time was a 10mm hook, which may be too big but the hat ended up just fine.

The end product worked out how I wanted it to, although next time I would change something about how I worked the top of the hat so that it would be less rounded.
