Location
The Summer School will be held in Braunstein Hall, on the main campus of the University of Cincinnati. Braunstein is one of two building of the Physics Department, the other being the Geology-Physics Building. The two buildings are connected. The main plenary sessions will be held in room 301, with smaller sessions held in adjacent classrooms. Coffee breaks will be held in the atrium of the Geology-Physics building, and lunches will be held in a cafeteria across the Arts Quad in the College of Music.
There will be an opening reception on Monday evening, July 23rd to welcome travelers.
There will be a Summer School banquet on Thursday, July 26th.
Travel
Cincinnati has a major airport (code: CVG) located 15 minutes outside the city in northern Kentucky. Transportation from the CVG Airport to the University can be reserved via the Executive Transportation shuttle for $26 one-way or $52 round trip. You can call 800-990-8841 24 hours in advance to guarantee a reservation; walk-up service is also available in the baggage claim areas. Taxi service is approximately $40-45.
If you are driving, directions are best found via Google Maps. Cincinnati is located at the intersection of Interstates 71 and 75 (running north-south) and Interstate 74 (running east-west). The city is located on the Ohio River, and the University of Cincinnati campus is located about a 10-minute drive (north) from the downtown area.
