Third IEEE Workshop on Artificial Intelligence for HealthCare (AIHC 2022) [Call for papers]


Introduction and Scope

The aim of this workshop is to bring together academics, students and industry researchers to exchange and share their experiences and research results on all aspects of Artificial Intelligence for HealthCare. This workshop is co-located with IEEE IRI 2022, 9-11 which will take place virtually.

All the authors of accepted AIHC'22 papers will be invited to submit an extended version of their work to Springer Nature Computer Sciences (SNCS) Topical Issue entitled "Recent Trends on AI for HealthCare".

Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:
  • Machine/Deep learning for cancer detection and prediction
  • Machine/Deep Learning for medical images classification
  • Case-Base-Reasoning for automatic diagnosis
  • Artificial intelligence techniques in medicine
  • Knowledge discovery in medicine
  • Medical expert systems
  • Machine learning-based medical systems
  • Medical signal and image processing techniques
  • Computer-assisted diagnosis

Important dates
Paper Submission deadline: May 17, 2022 May 24, 2022
Paper notification: June 1, 2022
Camera ready submission deadline: June 18, 2022

Conference events: August 9-11, 2022
Paper submission

Submitted papers must be unpublished and not considered elsewhere for publication. Submissions will undergo a rigorous review process handled by the Technical Program Committee. Papers will be selected based on their originality, significance, relevance, and clarity of presentation. Only electronic submissions in PDF format through the EasyChair submission site https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=ieeeaihc22 will be considered. Papers must be in English, up to 8 pages in IEEE format, including references and appendices. The IEEE LaTeX and Microsoft Word templates, as well as formatting guidelines, can be found on the paper submission instructions available at the main conference website.

Paper Publication

At least one of the authors must register and present each accepted paper. Registered and presented papers will be published as workshop papers in the IEEE IRI conference proceedings published by IEEE Computer Society Press and included in the IEEE Xplore Digital Library. As for previous editions of the workshop, all the authors will be invited to expand and submit their papers for possible publication in a Springer Nature Computer Sciences (SNCS) journal Special Issue entitled "Innovative AI in Medical Applications".
