First place I went to was the state’s home page and then did a search for Geology. There I obtained the Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation TDEC . TDEC home page. There is a link to the Geology Division, which has a generalized geologic map of the state as a php file Generlized Geolgocic Map. Topographic index of counties with pdf files can be found through the Division TDEC: TDG: Topographic Map Index by County.
Watershed Maps with lots of information show up at this site which I stumbled onto from TDEC home page link TN Stream Impairment. Source of TN Steam Impovement was from the Watershed Site.

The USGS has a National Map Site. The national map viewer is a great site and should be checked out for any state. It has BW ortho photo roads, streams, county boundaries, land cover, wetlands and many other layers which can be turned on and off. CHECK THIS PLACE OUT!
USGS also has a link to geodata.gov a one stop site for all your map information. I clicked on the geological and geophysical tab and got Here, which gives links to various other sites that still need to be explored. You can search from this site for primary data based on state. If you have NORTH DAKATO THIS IS THE PLACE TO GO.
USGS GEODE site has legend for geology, geography etc and displays a relief map which is supposed to provide links to other sites.
