Major equipment successfully installed in Fall 2023 – Spring 2024:

  • Bluefors LD-400 dilution refrigerator system with a 9-3 Tesla vector magnet, 9.9 mK base temperature
  • Lakeshore Shi 4-2 Rapid-test cryocooler system, 2.3 K base temperature
  • Extensive DC, low frequency, and microwave measurement electronics and instrumentation
Lab 122: Bluefors LD400 dilution refrigerator
Lab 123: Lakeshore Shi-4-2 cryocooler

UC cleanroom and characterization facilities

The nearby UC Engineering Research Center Cleanroom (link) and Advanced Materials Characterization Center (link) are user facilities with extensive capabilities for nanofabrication and characterization. Of particular interest for our research are the tools for ebeam lithography, photolithography, metal and dielectric deposition, dry etching, SEM and AFM imaging, and X-ray diffraction.
