The article provides an overview of the Port Royal Logic at the level of advanced undergraduate or beginning graduate stuents. It emphasizes the ways in which the Logic rebuilds the foundations of technical logic to harmonize with Cartesian metaphysics and epistemology, and especially its novel uses of use of intensional content to explain many fundamental concepts in metatheory.
