Who is Moon Knight?

Avatar of the Egyptian god of the night Khonshu, he is sworn to protect the innocent travelers of the night, inflicting justice on those who choose to walk the path of evil. He wears white to ensure his enemies see him coming, he is the Moon Knight.

Created by Marvel Comics, he debuted in 1975 as an antagonist to Marvel hero Werewolf by Night (cover image below), a teenager who is also a werewolf. In his debut, Moon Knight was actually just a mercenary being paid to wear the suit and use silver weapons to fight the werewolf. He is often considered to be Marvels Batman, wearing a cape and using crescent shaped darts. Patrolling the streets and dealing with criminals. In later incarnations his origin and motives change drastically, building up the character that many know today.
