Salmon-crested Cockatoo
Cacatua moluccensis
Cockatoos are noisy, flocking parrots that inhabit Australia and island
countries to its north and west. Loud squawking enables them to
communicate in thick forests. The salmon-crested cockatoo is a popular
bird in captivity, which is one reason its populations are declining as
birds are captured from the wild for the pet trade.
