Malaysian Leaf Insect
Phyllium giganteum
The leaf insect is the ultimate master of disguise, taking on the shape
and color of a leaf to prevent predator detection. It may even lightly
sway back and forth as would a leaf caught in a breeze. This strategy
has worked for leaf insects for more than 45 million years.
