Golden Conure
Aratinga guarouba
Also know as the Queen of Bavaria conure, the golden conure is bright
yellow with green wing feathers. Compared to other parrots, its beak is
large relative to its body size, and is used as a “third foot” while
climbing. Deforestation and the exotic pet trade are taking a toll on
golden conure populations in the wild.
