Black rhinoceros
Diceros bicornis
Traveling alone, the black rhino brandishes its horns at an intruder.
Made of tightly packed hair-like fibers, the front horn may grow more
than four feet long. Intended for protection, the horns ironically often
lead to death by poachers for use in traditional medicine and in
fashioning high-status dagger handles.
