Codiaeum varigatum
bravo crotons
A common plant with vibrant foliage colors.
Needs lots of light to produce the colors. Low light will result
in a green plant only.
Hard to kill.
Moist to dry watering.
Size - 3'-5' tall, though the one we saw was taller.

Aglaonema species
c: Chinese evergreen
Good for small planters. Plant in cubicles, at buffets, etc.
The bloom can get messy, which is a concern in restaurants.
Plants spread easily.
A six inch pot is a good size.
Lots of species.
Prefers filtered light, not full sun.
50-75 candle power, down to 10 candle power.
Watch water in low light - do not allow wet feet.

Rhapis
excelsa
Has a crunchy feel.
Alive, but it does not feel like it.
The stem is rough and feels dead.
Dry air is OK - unlike other plants, you can put these in a drafty area.
Succeptible to meely big, spider mites.
Acute branch angles.

Same acute angle as other palms, but a very interesting leaf.
The plant we observed had seeds ready to drop.
Gets tall, but 10' is a good size.
