This is good preparation for what is to come in Java II and Java III.

I personally feel that we have a top-notch Java Technologies program here
at UC CECE/CAS. We offer many emerging topics that are hot in the
industry now.
-
In Java II:
-
Unified Modeling Language
-
Servlets/Java Server Pages (JSP)

-

-
eXtensible Markup Language (XML)
-
There is a lot to cover, and it can get challenging at times, as this class
did. But series will leave you with a well rounded education in Java,
and very valuable in today's job market. Indeed, very few professional
programmers have the entire knowledge base listed above.
-
If you were to get this same education from a corporate training company, it would probably take at least four weeks and cost about $8,000 (@ $2,000/week).
-
I would be delighted to have you in future classes.
-
I will be teaching Java II and III this Spring and Java III in the summer.
-
My slides will always be on line, as long as I am here.
-
All classes are similar in format - slides on line, exams on BlackBoard,
etc. Most other classes have only one exam (midterm) and are more
project based.
-
Whether I do see you in a future class or not, please do keep in touch.
-
Consider me part of your network. I'll be more than happy to assist
in a job search wherever possible - including letters of recommendation,
help finding a job, or general advice.
-
Also remember the community resources available.
-
Cincinnati Java Users Group , a free
users group. Has a mailing list and meets monthly. Great networking
opportunities.
-
JavaPro A free Java magazine.
Even postage is free.
-
Please spend the remainder of class working on the project or asking questions
about the final. Or just go home and get some well deserved rest.
-
And, most of all, have a great Spring Break!!!
