Hello, my name is Matthew Jenkins and I’m entering my 2nd year at the University of Cincinnati. I’m 21 years old and am from Canal Winchester, Ohio. Upon graduating high school, I went to Columbus State Community College to knock out my gen-ed classes and gain my Asssociates. Currently, I’m majoring in Information Technology on the Data Technologies track.
One of my main hobbies is to read. I’ve dipped pretty heavily into Sci-Fi and Fantasy over the past few years, but have recently been reading more philosophical work. I took an ethics course in my first year of college and it has really opened up the philosophical world to me. Another hobby of mine is watching baseball. I spend nearly every night watching the Red Sox games, and am just a huge fan of the sport. The analytical aspect of baseball is one of the most fascinating things to me, as I could spend hours looking up advanced statistics and sabermetrics.
Studying in the technology-realm was a no brainer for me in college, as I’ve been entranced with technology ever since I was a kid. I built a PC in my senior year of high school and it has lit a fire in me ever since, as I’m constantly looking for opportunities to upgrade the hardware of my PC. I do a decent chunk of my schoolwork on my PC, but I built it with the main purpose of gaming. My favorite video game I’ve played on my PC is definitely Elden Ring.
