Please complete a 4-5 page essay (typed-double space) that addresses the following three-part question.

Section 1. Describe and explain one particular decision from the APEC Summit in which consensus was reached in the context of at least one theory, concept or argument introduced by an author from the syllabus. This can be from any of the committee meetings. What was the critical factor in producing consensus?

Describe and explain one particular decision from the APEC Summit in which you failed to reach consensus in the context of at least one theory, concept or argument introduced by an author from the syllabus. This can be from any of the committee meetings. What was critical factor in not reaching consensus?

Section 3. Based on your experience and drawing from your readings, discuss one element of the politics of cooperation that is made more difficult by a consensus rule and one element of the politics of cooperation made easier by a consensus rule.

    Be direct in your writing style and deal directly with the issue in hand in these three sections. Do not waste time in generalization or long descriptions of events.
