In a Neutron Star, the light is almost captured, but some still escapes. But a black hole is so dense its surface gravity does not allow light to even escape. In the metaphor above, it is like a tear in the space-time fabric. The point of no return is called the event horizon. This radius is also referred to as the Schwarzschild radius. The more massive the black hole, the larger the radius.
