In February, 1987, a supernova went off in the Large Magellanic Cloud, called: Supernova 1987A. This was a tremendous opportunity for Astronomers (the last naked eye Supernova was in 1604) This was a Type II Supernova (from Massive stars).

Type II Supernova come from Massive stars. In the first 0.4 seconds, neutrinos form and immediately escape. A TRILLION neutrinos passed through YOUR BODY on February 23rd, 1987. Two hours later the light was detected.
