Star Formation in the Late Spiral M33: NGC 604
Images taken by the Hubble Space Telescope of the enormous HII region NGC 604 in M33 allow us to detect individual stars.
This has allowed the direct study of individual stars in OTHER galaxies (this one being almost a million light years away). And guess what? They are just like stars in our OWN galaxy!
