Establishing a Pin Number for OhioLINK Authentication

Note: A Pin number will permit you to access most OhioLINK Databases like ERIC and the OhioLINK Electronic Text Services, as well as viewing your circulation record and hold shelf. It will not permit you to access UC only database and full text sources. Use the Remote Access to search both UC and OhioLINK databases and full text resources from off campus

1. To set up a pin number using UCLID (Telenet) enter v. Click here for Telnet UCLID"

2. Enter name and social security as instructed.

3. If you do not currently have a pin number, New Pin will appear. Create your pin by entering 5-8 letters and/or numbers which you will remember.

4. If your already have a pin the system and you entered it correctly the systems will display your circulation record.

5. If the systems responds incorrect pin try using the same pin as you use for phone registration.

6. If you have forgotten your pin number go to any library circulation desk and have them check for your correct pin.

7. Go to OhioLINK Home Page, select Research Databases, then click on Authenticate and choose desired database. To view a simulation and further details on the OhioLINK Authentication procedure Accessing OhioLINK Databases with a Pin Number Using AOL or Another Internet Service Provider (ISP)
