McCree is a very versatile character with a revolver as his primary weapon. His main attack shoots the revolver in a straight line, while his alternate attack will release all the shots left in the revolver rapidly with lower accuracy and half-damage. His abilities make McCree a good option at both medium and short range. In a short range situation, it is easiest to throw your flashbang at the enemy, which stuns the enemy for a short time, and unload all the shots in your revolver, then using your Combat Roll to get away and refill your ammo at the same time.

McCree's ultimate is one of the hardest in the game to use. When Deadeye is activated, the player will see circles on all visible enemy players. When the circle turns into a skull, the player can shoot and will instantly kill the enemy. Due to this waiting period, and McCree screaming "It's High Noon!" every time he activates his ultimate, it can be very difficult to use Deadeye. The best option is to either have the enemy be stuck in a Graviton or try to sneak up behind the enemy.
