Read on the wavelength scale the original location of the z_L, which is 0.073l
Add to 0.073l+ 0.150l=0.223l.
Move toward the generator and locate 0.223l on the wavelength scale.
Draw a circle with
- a radius equal to the distance from the center of the Smith Chart to the load z_L
- the center as the center of the Smith Chart
Read the impedance from the intersection of the line at 0.223l with the constant r_L circle.
Answer: z_in1=2.2+j0.7
Note: Actual input impedance is Z_in=(z_in)(Z_c)= (2.2+j0.7)(50)=110+j35 (W)
