Course Description |
The Scenarios Each group of students was given an outbreak scenario to solve. Scenarios were developed based on information from real outbreaks. In three cases, data was taken directly from these real-life situations. These three groups did ultimately discover the real cases from which their data was drawn. We were aware of this possibility from the outset, however we were still comfortable using this data because even if students found the source of the outbreak on the first day, they would need to generate the necessary evidence to prove their hypothesis. The links below will show the actual information given to the students at each point in the course. Additionally, we have provided a description of the samples used and appropriate results for each experiment. Any additional figures or documents that the students received are also provided. |
