Ouchterlony For the ouchterlony, we used the Carolina Biologicals kit, catalog number ????. We followed the instructions included with the kit, but relabeled samples as necessary so that each student observed a positive reaction with the appropriate "extract" (labelled as viral, bacterial, fungal and parasitic extracts). We used this simply to allow students to confirm the general type of infection they were dealing with. |
