Method of Undetermined Coefficients

Summary

The Method of Undetermined Coefficients provides a way to obtain a particular solution of a linear second-order constant-coefficient non-homogeneous ODE $$ a x^{\prime \prime}(t)+b x^{\prime}(t)+c x(t)=f(t) $$ in case the forcing $f(t)$ is comes from a number of special types of functions — one reduces the problem to a system of linear algebraic equations.
