Wrapup
-
That's it! Call yourself a programmer.
-
Files:
-
You can use external files to read data, write data, save HTML to a page,
and send mail.
-
You have to open them, assign a file handle.
-
Use print filehande "data"; to write to a file.
-
When reading from a file, you read the data into an array.
-
You can use foreach to iterate through each element of the array.
-
You can further parse this into independent scalars, then put the scalars
into an associative array (hash) for use later. Though it looks complicated,
this can all be done in just a few lines!
-
E-mail:
-
Just like files, but instead of specifying a filename, you specify "|/usr/sbin/sendmail
-t"
-
Write To:, From:, and Subject: as special lines.
-
Everything else goes to the body.
