Travel to Cincinnati

To get to the UC West Campus if you are coming to Cincinnati:
  • By plane: The Greater Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky Airport (CVG) is approximately 17 miles from campus and 12 miles from the Hampton Inn Cincinnati-Riverfront. To get to the hotel or campus from the airport we recommend renting a car or taking the Executive Shuttle Service. You may want to reserve a roundtrip for $32 (single trip $22). However, we will organize transportation from campus to airport on Sunday.
  • By car: Please see here (the symposium takes place on West Campus).
Once near UC West Campus, please see this map for more details. Events on Friday are at the Taft Research Center (Suite 1110, Edwards I). Events on Saturday and Sunday are in the building known as 60 West Charlton.

Transportation between the Hampton Inn and Campus

Due to other events being held on campus during the symposium weekend, the conference hotel is the Hampton Inn Cincinnati-Riverfront (200 Crescent Avenue, Covington, Kentucky, 41011). We will run a shuttle between the hotel and campus before and after talks for participants who do not have cars. To simplify logistics and ensure everyone gets to the symposium at the same time, we would greatly appreciate it if those who have cars and extra space meet in the hotel lobby before the shuttle departs to check if any participants need rides. We will provide pre-paid parking vouchers to participants driving from the Hampton Inn.

Meeting times for those taking the shuttle or driving to campus from the Hampton Inn:
Friday afternoon before talks: Meet in the hotel lobby at 12:45 p.m. If your flight arrives Friday afternoon we suggest arranging to go directly to campus from the airport via Executive Shuttle.
Friday evening: Following the Taft Lecture reception, participants will have time to get dinner near the University. The shuttle will tentatively depart from outside the Taft Research Center at 8:45 p.m.
Saturday morning: Meet in the hotel lobby at 8:30 a.m.
Saturday evening: Participants will have time to get dinner near the university following the poster forum. The shuttle will tentatively depart from the bearcat statue outside 60 West Charlton at 8:30 p.m.
Sunday morning: Meet in the hotel lobby at 8:30 a.m.
Sunday afternoon: The shuttle will tentatively leave for the airport around 4:45 p.m.
