The papers below are examples of my recent work. Please contact me if you would like to receive more papers on any of these topics.
Paper 1: http://www.cp.umist.ac.uk/jcse/vol2/Paper14/v2p14.html
This is a recent paper on
our silane work. It was presented at the Conference “Advances in Corrosion
Protection by Organic Coatings”, Cambridge, U.K., September 14-17, 1999, and
published in the electronic Journal of Corrosion Science and Engineering
(JCSE), Volume 2, paper 14, 2001.
Paper 2: W.J.van Ooij et al., “Silane-based Chromate Replacements
for Corrosion Control, Paint Adhesion, and Rubber Bonding”, Surface Engineering,
16, 386 (2000).
This is an overview of our
recent work with silanes for corrosion protection and bonding.
Paper 3: K.D. Conners et al., “Comparison of Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy
and Electrochemical Noise Measurement of Plasma-Polymerized Films as Pretreatment
for Cold-Rolled Steel”, British
Corrosion Journal, 35, 141 (2000)
This is an example of our
electrochemical work.
Paper 4: J.M. Kim and W.J. van Ooij, “Study of the Compound
Effects on the Adhesion Layer between Brass and the Squalene Model Compound by
GPC and TOF-SIMS”, submitted to the Journal of Adhesion Science and Technology.
This paper is an example of
our rubber bonding studies and the use of TOFSIMS in the study of rubber-metal
interfaces.
Paper 5: Donglu Shi et al., “Multi-Layer Coating of
Ultrathin Polymer Films on Nanoparticles of Alumina by Plasma Treatment”,
Presented at the MRS meeting in Boston, MA, December 6-8, 2000.
This paper has been accepted
for publicaiton in the Proceedings. It is an example of our work in which we
surface-modify fine powders, including nanoparticles.
