A JOURNALIST, PUBLIC POLICY RESEARCHER AND ANALYST, Matt Penix has extensive background in managing public affairs, journalism, broadcast, social and digital media. He is an award-winning journalist, receiving first-place awards for news as well as feature writing for covering Hurricane Katrina and other national stories. He has interviewed many national newsmakers and celebrities and has appeared on national satellite news as well as local radio and television programs in New Orleans, where he earned a master's degree in public administration. Mr. Penix, a widely read New Orleans columnist, contributed a chapter about social media for a journalism textbook that Pearson Publishing Co., the world's largest textbook publisher, plans to release in January 2019. Mr. Penix has served as CEO of PenixProductions since January 2016.
