Cave Whip Spider
Damon variegates
This bizarre arachnid is only distantly related to true spiders. Its
long whip-like appendages are not true antennae, but instead highly
modified front walking legs now used for feeling about in the dark. It
can dart crab-like in any direction to attack prey or flee enemies.
