Hydrostatic Equilibrium
- (Most) Stars are not expanding or contracting. Stars are in equilibrium.
What does this mean?
The outward pressure is created by the nuclear fusion reactions at the star's center.
However, nuclear reactions require fuel to continue, and fuel is limited. The force of Gravity
requires NO FUEL. Gravity WILL WIN in the end.
